The Road Ahead is Wide Open with Our Transportation Division
Strategic Insurance Underwriters (SIU), U.S. Risk's Transportation division, provides competitive insurance products and superior service to meet the needs of American truckers. SIU offers several programs through top-rated insurers available to fit the risk profile of a wide range of for-hire trucking firms. Programs are available in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
SIU underwriters understand the challenges and the tough insurance market the transportation industry faces, with tighter underwriting and rising insurance costs due to an increase in losses. Over the last decade or so, SIU has seen more accidents on the road as a result of greater congestion, a rise in distracted driving with cell phone usage, and a shortage of experienced drivers. The industry is also more vulnerable to a broader spectrum of risks, including extensive auto, technology, and supply chain liabilities, in addition to the regulatory and compliance exposures involved in the use of independent contractors.
The SIU team has the expertise, markets, products, and risk management to assist agents in securing coverage for their clients and mitigating risk.
